Dearest Friends of Les Couleurs Charity,
Thank you so much for being there for us for the past few years and for helping us sustain and enhance our program, CREATE, for disadvantaged children in Haiti. We are very touched that so many of you reached out to us after learning about the heartbreaking devastation in Haiti in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. While we do not know the exact scale of the disaster, we learned that at least 900 people lost their lives and tens of thousands of people have been moved to temporary shelters. We learned that our teachers in Port-au-Prince are fine at this point. However, their families living in the southwestern part of Haiti, in Les Cayes, were severely impacted. Napthania’s grandparents lost their house and had to be moved to a shelter. We want to help them as much as we can, and we also want to help the community in Les Cayes to re-build their lives. Their immediate needs are for food, basic medication and clothing. This is the time when people in Haiti need our help more than ever. There is a real sense of despair and urgency and we want to prove we are there for those in need. If you would like to join us in helping Napthania’s grandparents and the southwestern Haitian community to recover, please donate.
